You may have heard that Loblaws is planning a huge expansion in 2015. That expansion is expected to topple $1.2 billion in spending, which will be invested in store renovations, product launches, e-commerce and more.

Beginning Wednesday (March 11), Loblaws is launching its no name® Naturally Imperfect™ Apples, which are, well, apples that aren’t perfect. Because y’know what? Not all apples look like the supermodels of the apple world, okay? This movement is akin to a similar trend in European supermarkets, where blemished and oft-overlooked produce is given its very own section of the grocery store.

But not all Loblaws campaigns are self-serving, as the brand will also be launching its Spring Food Drive nationwide this March (March 20 to April 9), which will raise food and funds to combat hunger.
