Keeping Up With The Kardashians is back for yet another season of lies, betrayal and sisterhood through it all … or something like that. The whole gang is back—we even get a rare moment of both Kylie and Kanye in this episode. The premiere returned by picking up where season 16 left off, which means we are still in the thick of the Khloe and Tristan saga. He is desperately trying to con her again, with a constant stream of flowers and Facetime requests she smartly ignores. But as True’s first birthday approaches, Khloe has to decide if he’s allowed to join in the festivities. Kim, of course, thinks it’s a terrible idea fearing certain guests will use the opportunity to take sly photos and share gossip with the press. She's not wrong though.

True' s epic birthday

But Kim has other things to worry about when she wakes up with swollen hands she can’t use. There’s speculation it might be rheumatoid arthritis which has her freaking out. Nothing like an autoimmune disease to put a damper on the arrival of baby number four. Things only get worse as she finds out the tests came back positive for both lupus and rheumatoid arthritis which sends her spiraling. There’s a significant chance it’s a false positive, so we'll need to tune in next week to see the results. On the Kourtney side, she’s about to turn 40, which is giving her serious anxiety that Khloe has to deal with on top of all the Tristan drama. Don’t you love when you throw your sister a huge birthday celebration only for her to complain about every little thing? We get a Kendall mention when Kourtney basically tells Khloe that Kendall would do a better job at throwing her 40th. We guess Kendall is over all the drama with Kourtney stealing her friends. The episode ends at True’s pastel unicorn 1st birthday, which by now we've seen splashed across social, where everyone eagerly awaits the awkwardness of Tristan’s arrival—particularly Khloe who is always afraid of what Kim might say to Tristan. UGH Khloe, why can’t you just let Kim be the awesome sister that she is and rip him a new one? But maybe not at a baby’s birthday party, fine.

Kanye vs Tristan

When Kanye ends up in a long conversation with the serial cheater, Kim has to investigate—and surprise, Tristan didn’t love that they used Kanye’s absolutely perfect track "Runaway" as the music over the trailer for season 16. Tristan complained that it was "reinforcing the narrative about him" because the kind of guy Kanye is singing about in the track. Sorry Tristan, but you can’t complain about being called out for who you are.Yes, our favourite sisters are back, and we will be here all season long covering the ups and downs, the parties, the babies, the terrible choices in men, the fabulous family vacations and everything in between. Because what else are we going to do on Sundays?Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9E on E!
