So apparently dating resumés are a thing. And if they aren’t, they should be, based on what Joey Adams cooked up. The 21-year-old Michigan State University student is now our dating hero after he posted his resumé up on Facebook. But it was no ordinary resumé. It was one specifically tailored for finding love. Hey, at the very least, if Adams’ chemical engineering career doesn’t go anywhere (yes, he’s cute and smart to boot), he might want to start his own dating service.

It all started when fellow MSU student Ashley Harrington took to Facebook, scouting for her roommate’s formal date.

“You might think this is a joke but I’m dead serious,” wrote Harrington. “Please go with her. She’s not weird, she just lives in the library.” And lucky for her Adams was prepared for precisely this moment because after Harrington’s post went up, he responded.

And it’s a beautiful, brilliant thing.

No, really, take a closer look.

Joseph A. Adams, lover of breakfast foods and puppies, lists everything from his work experience — “Lubricants Consultant (not a euphemism)” — to his life objective (“To find a honey with a bitchin’ family who enjoys sushi, adventures & good movies”), even breaking down his skills (“Crying during Marley & Me” and “Replying to long texts”), all of which is kind of amazing.

The chart that represents how he spends his time is a special thing (which includes FaceTiming his mom and running his dog’s Instagram account), but it’s what he considers moderately interesting about himself (his ride, an ’09 Honda Civic, and his distaste for Tinder, “because I don’t objectify women for the sake of ‘getting ass'”) that should garner him all kinds of love.

Joey’s resumé was inspired by an encounter several months earlier; he told Buzzfeed how he started “making small talk” with a gorgeous girl and that he eventually “worked up the courage to ask her on a date.”

He continued: “She asked if I had a dating resumé that she could look at, and when I said no (like any normal person would) she told me no. So afterward I decided to make one, so if it ever came up again I could use it in my favor.”

In this latest case, Adams was shot down once again as Harrington told him that her friend ended up asking someone else to the formal. Still, with a resumé as on-point and awesome as Joey’s we’re pretty sure he won’t have any trouble finding a date now.
