All relationships with parents and children are special but there’s something about the bond between a father and daughter that is undeniable and unbreakable — no matter what happens in life. Bailey Sellers, a young woman from Tennessee, took to Twitter to share a photo of flowers her father, Michael William Sellers, had sent to her. He had flowers delivered to her for the last five years but on her 21st birthday, it was coming to an end — but not for the reasons you might think.

Sellers shared three pics: the flowers, a photo from when she was younger of the two of them together, and the card with his final printed words on it.

“This is my last love letter to you until we meet again,” he wrote. “I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place.”

He added that she should always respect her mother and stay true to herself before concluding, “Be happy and live life to the fullest. I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be.”

According to the New York Post, Sellers’ dad was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer just two weeks after Christmas in 2012. He was given two weeks to live and survived for six months until he passed, leaving his wife, Bailey, and her three older siblings.

The internet has been overflowing with sympathy for Bailey and her family. Some were simply in awe of such an inspiring man.

And love how he’s honoured his little Boo Boo.

Michael was clearly an inspiration.

This woman knows exactly what Bailey is going through and offered some words of encouragement.

Someone had the brilliant idea for Bailey to carry on her dad’s tradition for herself.

Bailey tweeted that she did, indeed, have a wonderful birthday.

This woman suggested maybe her boyfriend could pick up where Bailey’s dad left off.

And he was more than happy to comply.

Bring on the ugly tears.
