The Emmys may be the time for celebrating great television, but since we’re human, we’re also on the hunt for the next big thing. Sometimes it’s an underrated show that’s slipped under our radar until now and other times it’s a pairing of two celebs that we never would have considered but will now stay up all night thinking about. Thanks a lot, Television Academy. And fantastic pairings happened not once, not twice, but a startling five times Sunday night (guess that's how they're making up for the no host thing). They were strong right out the gate with the never-before-seen-nor-even-contemplated pairing of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Bill Hader. It just makes sense, right? Then there was Amy Poehler and Catherine O’Hara and seriously, what are they trying to do to us? We’re not sure, but we need several scripts on our desks by Monday, people! Here are our casting pitches for the next season of must-watch TV.[gallery ids="/content/dam/bellmedia/more-etalk-ca/images/tv/2019/09/22/phoebe-bill.jpg,/content/dam/bellmedia/more-etalk-ca/images/tv/2019/09/22/Maya-Ike.jpg,/content/dam/bellmedia/more-etalk-ca/images/tv/2019/09/22/rupaul-zendaya.jpg,/content/dam/bellmedia/more-etalk-ca/images/tv/2019/09/22/amy-catherine.jpg,/content/dam/bellmedia/more-etalk-ca/images/tv/2019/09/22/adam-meryl.jpg"]
