Talk about a dream date.

Prince Harry must be seriously head-over-heels for Meghan Markle because the 32-year-old Royal recently whisked the actress away on the most romantic Norwegian adventure.

Usually, the elite opt for a sunshiny private island and lounge around poolside for a week, the paparazzi sneakily snapping bikini-clad photos from afar, but it seems as though Meghan is of a different calibre than Harry’s past flames.

“Harry wanted to make this first holiday something Meg will never forget,” an anonymous source told The Sun. “It wasn’t an obvious choice like a glitzy beach resort or tropical island. He’d put a lot of thought into it and wanted to make it as romantic and special as possible.”

While in Norway, the pair stayed at a luxury private cabin, away from prying eyes, and watched the Northern Lights colour the sky with wisps of green and purple and mauve. Sigh. We’ve never experienced Aurora Borealis in Norway, but it sounds like the most romantic dream date on earth. Not to mention, with a Prince on one’s arm.

According to the source, Harry and Meg partook in some Norwegian winter excursions, too, like dog sledding, orca watching and some remote dinner dates. All the stuff that is best followed by a long snuggle under a warm blanket with your lover.

The couple’s getaway came after they spent Christmas with their respective families, finally being able to spend New Years together. And thank goodness for that—the first kiss of the year is so important, as we all know.

Here’s hoping this first vacation together was a success, because this is one Royal couple we certainly want to see more of in 2017.
