There are few things we love more than days dedicated to positive change and it looks like the celebs love it too. For the 10th year in a row, #BellLetsTalk Day is using the hashtag to spread awareness, take action and raise funds for Canadian mental health initiatives. With every tweet, retweet, video view, text, call or use of the Snapchat filter, Bell will donate 5 cents to the Canadian organizations listed here. This year is shaping up to raise more than ever with a ton of celebs leading the charge on social media. And by "celebs" we also mean our ~newly local~ royalty. Meghan and Harry dedicated the Sussex Instagram story to #BellLetsTalk and creating positive conversations around mental health.[caption id="attachment_4782800" align="alignleft" width="960"]Sussex Royal #BellLetsTalk Instagram post @sussexroyal/Instagram[/caption]We had some celebs of the non-royal variety as well, obviously--from politicians to Olympic athletes to straight up Canadian super stars. Heard of Justin Trudeau? Maybe Tessa Virtue? Perhaps the Queen of Canada herself, Miss Céline Dion? (Okay, so there is more royalty). Those names and more are using their massive Twitter followings to spread the word and get it done this lovely #BellLetsTalk Day. William Shatner? Dr. Oz? Those guys are out here too. It's not just public figures and individuals in the entertainment industry lending their voices (and Twitter accounts) to the cause. A bunch of teams and organizations are also joining the #BellLetsTalk conversation. The (NBA World Champion) Toronto Raptors, NHL, Toronto Maple Leafs and even the Canadian Space Agency are doing their part. Hey, mental health matters in space too, y'all. When it comes to mental health, every action counts! Join the conversation on Bell Let’s Talk Day, January 29, and help create positive change for those living with mental health issues. For every text message, mobile or long-distance call made by Bell, Bell Aliant and Bell MTS customers, Bell will donate five cents to Canadian mental health initiatives. The same goes for anyone sending a tweet using #BellLetsTalk, watching the Bell Let’s Talk Day video on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or Snapchat, or using the Bell Let’s Talk Facebook frame or Snapchat filter. But that’s just the first step: Visit letstalk.bell.ca for more ways you can effect change and build awareness around mental health.
