As if Valentine’s Day isn’t stressful enough for singletons, this recipe puts the pressure on the ladies in a whole new way!
Forget the sexy lingerie and fancy oysters, according to this recipe legend, it’s a simple roast chicken that gets the job done. That is, if you’re gunning for an engagement sparkler this year. It all started 33 years ago when former fashion editor of Glamour magazine, Kim Bonnell, shared the recipe with her assistant, Kathy Suder. Long story short, Suder made it for her beau and he popped the question a month later. When the recipe sparked two more engagements, Bonnell decided to call it ‘Engagement Chicken’. How cutely appropriate.
So apparenlty, the way to net a man’s heart and commitment is through his stomach. Good to know.
