Superstar, super heart.

On location in Montreal while filming the latest X-Men installment, Hugh Jackman unsheathed his Wolverine claws to cut a big check for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

As the Montreal Gazette reports, the actor and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, made a $10,000 donation to the hospital on Tuesday.

The sum was so generous that they had trouble completing the transaction online.

When Furness typed in “$10,000″ the computer confirmed her total as $10.

Undeterred by technology, she called up the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation in person and tried to correct the sum.

“She wanted to make the donation on behalf of her, her husband, and the cast and crew of X-Men,” the Foundation’s Kim Fraser tells the Gazette.

The Foundation managed to run the sum through the Jackman family credit card and everything ended with good humour.

If he really wanted to top off that hefty sum with a priceless accent, there are probably floors full of children whose entire year would be made by a visit from this real life superhero.
