Just because you want something to be true doesn't mean that it is -- you cannot let your emotions convince your mind of things that aren't real! Take a detached perspective on things, right now. Be brutally honest with yourself about what is going on. What's your role in the day's dramas? When you see things clearly, you have the upper hand. Let other people kid themselves about the reality of the situation while you rise to a leadership role by knowing what the real deal is!

It's vital that you keep yourself on track on Monday and Tuesday -- there are distractions aplenty, and if you don't maintain some semblance of discipline, you can expect to have to make up for lost time later on. If you pull it off, you should get recognition right away, and your good energy lasts through the end of the week. You can accomplish even more than you had hoped! The weekend might get a bit tricky, though, thanks to unexpected circumstances that interfere with even the best-laid plans.

Look at all of the details (with a magnifying glass, if possible) on the 1st and you'll see just what pattern emerges from them. Whether you're a carpenter with a cabinetmaking specialty or a corporate lawyer or a cupcake salesperson, you'll be the one responsible for a major breakthrough at work, thanks to your attention to the little things. By the super fabulous 4th and 5th, look for all kinds of wonderful recognition of you and the work you've done this year. Heck, the boss might even throw you a cupcake party! If there is any way you can do some creative writing on the 8th, 9th and 10th (and of course there is,) you will feel really, really fulfilled. Sure, there are always going to be flighty people flitting about. But on the 15th, 16th and 17th you don't need to invite them in to camp out on your desk and distract you! Connect with someone you haven't connected with in a long time on the 23rd and 24th. In fact, reconnect with as many people as you can! Tis the season, you know. Put your work aside for a few days on the 25th, 26th and 27th. Focus on family, friends and eating lots and lots of good food. Something that seems impossible isn't, as you'll see on the interesting 30th and 31st. Don't forget to reflect on the year past -- and to have fun! Happy New Year!
