Look, I’m as big a fan as anyone of finding ways to launch inanimate objects at ridiculous speeds—potato launcher, anyone?— but this point-blank ping pong ball stunt is about as anticlimactic as it gets. Really? You doo all the work to create a ping pong ball cannon that will shoot it at 900 mph (claim!) and you’re going to put the paddle mere inches away? Boooooo. Suggestion: Next time line up a whole beer pong table and blast that ball through 10 keg cups of delicious beer in slow motion. Kablammo! Video gold.
