‘Jetman’ flies alongside planes

The custom-built jet suit can travel at speeds of up to 305 km/h.

A Swiss adrenaline junkie known as ‘Jetman’ is able to fly through the air at speeds that rival planes. Yves Rossy made his first public flight in the U.S. yesterday using a custom-built jet suit with four engines. The suit can propel him through the sky at speeds upwards of 305 km/h all while soaring at heights of 12,000 feet.

Rossy will be making other appearances at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture in Wisconsin, which runs until Aug 4.
