Topless reporter interviews mayor

The mayor didn't even get to answer a question before the interviewer's top came off.

Something about interviewing can really make a person sweat.

Or at least that’s what host of On the Rocks Talk said when she took off her top in front of Kelowna Mayor Walter Gray. Lori Welbourne was questioning the mayor’s views on women baring their breasts in public, citing a case out of New York where someone was told she couldn’t show hers inside of a restaurant. But before he could even answer, the mayor was staring at a lot of Welbourne than he expected.

‘What are you doing?’ he asked.

It’s hot in here,’ she replied, and pulled down her dress.

Surprisingly, Gray kept the interview going. He noted that while it’s legal for a woman to go topless anywhere she wants in Kelowna, it’s not always appropriate.

‘…A woman’s chest causes a distraction,’ he said.

Not that the hairy chest of a man directly in your field of vision would catch anyone’s eye. Maybe the real lesson here is that nobody needs to be topless in a restaurant.

More on this in the video above.
