OK seriously, who set this up?
A few Finnair passengers raised an eyebrow when they realized they were on flight AY666 to Helsinki, which has the 3 letter airport code HEL. But they might have gotten frantic when they noticed the flight also leaves on Friday the 13th.
“It has been quite a joke among the pilots” veteran Finnair pilot Juha-Pekka Keidasto told Metro UK. “I’m not a superstitious man. It’s only a coincidence for me.”
Strangely, this atomic bomb of superstition didn’t deter many from grabbing a ticket – the flight nearly sold out. It’s even more surprising when you consider that Scandinavian Airlines doesn’t even have a 13th row on board.
There is good news though: Keidasto said it’s looking like clear skies for flight 666.
…but the oxygen masks are located right above you, just in case.
