‘Hey, want a balloon?’
A creepy clown has been making an entire town in England nervous. Popping up in mysterious places, at random times, and remaining completely silent, he just stands there – staring. It’s enough to make even the toughest grown-up cringe.
But on a Facebook page claiming to be by the prankster, he writes that he’s perfectly harmless and only wants to be seen.
‘If what I am doing does get too much for people, I will have to stop,’ he wrote.
Seems nice, right? Well – he’s also posted some rather sketchy comments:
‘For those of you with phobias and fears, you don’t have to like and comment on this page. See you around soon .’ In other words, you don’t have to write on his page if you’re scared of him, but he will find you in real life. Oh! And don’t forget this one:
‘I didn’t wear my clown shoes as they’ve got holes in them from all the drains I’ve been climbing into,’ he also wrote. Drains he’s been climbing into?! This might actually be him on that very day (but it’s more likely the work of Photoshop):

According to some reports, the clown will sometimes even knock on doors and offer to paint people’s sills, despite not having any painting equipment. But in the clown’s defence, he claims on that same Facebook page that there may be some copycats running around.
That means there could be an entire army of them out there!
Can’t sleep, clown’ll eat me…
