Don’t act like you’re not impressed.

BBC News presenter Simon McCoy baffled viewers when he appeared on air holding a stack of photocopier paper. He delivered his full report clutching the package as if it was a vital prop in an upcoming story. Meanwhile, his mistake was being broadcast to audiences around the world.

Yeah…awkward.

A BBC spokesperson later explained that McCoy mistook the stack of paper for an iPad, which was sitting next to it.

“In the rush of live news, he didn’t have an opportunity to swap the items, so simply went with it,” he told The Guardian.

This isn’t the first time the presenter has looked a little unprepared on television though. Last year, he was caught resting his head on the desk, thinking he was off the air.

You stay classy, Canada.
