This year is shaping up to be a solid one for celebrity spawn. Tennis superstar Serena Williams announced yesterday that her and fiancé Alexis Ohanian (the co-founder of Reddit) are expecting their first child. A huge congratulations, you two!

Williams uploaded a photo of herself standing in front of a mirror, showing off a side profile of her changing bod while wearing a yellow one-piece swimsuit. The caption reads “20 weeks.”

Twenty weeks! How wonderful is that?

But wait a sec, let’s pull out a calculator and do some quick math. Twenty weeks would mean that Williams had has a bun in the oven since December-ish (the same month Ohanian proposed).

And in case it’s slipped your mind, Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam in Australia back in January, which would mean she was pregnant while claiming her tennis victory–probably eight weeks pregnant, at that. Talk about Queen of the Court!

Many women are able to maintain some level of fitness during their pregnancy, but dominate and win one of the most important tennis matches of the year? Nope, most moms-to-be certainly aren’t doing that.

Does winning a Grand Slam while pregnant improve the kid’s chance of being a tennis protégé? Like, the same way you’re suppose to listen to classical music or whatever? Unsure, but it surely can’t hurt the kid’s chances.

The World of Serena all seems a little clearer now that it’s known that she’s growing a baby in her belly. Like last week, when the tennis star uploaded a photo explaining she was exhausted and didn’t want to get out of bed. It wasn’t just a case of the Mondays, it was her body feeling drained from pregnancy!

Fighting to get up this morning
