Lindsay Lohan will do anything to get into a party. Just like she did at New York Fashion Week a year and a half ago, Lindsay got some rich dude to walk her into a party she wasn’t invited to.
According to the New York Daily News, Lohan wasn’t on the guest list to the annual amfAR gala in New York on Wednesday, but Linds likes a challenge. She showed up on the red carpet with Saudi oil heir and film producer Mohammed Al Turki, who had reportedly secured table 31 for himself and, presumably, any has-beens who showed up on his arm.
“She was not his date,” however-ed the source. “Just a friend.” Whatever you say, source.
Since Lindsay doesn’t know how to play the role of anything lately inconspicuous, Lohan arrived late, after the night’s highest-profile guests already walked the red carpet. Also, amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole had already walked it twice, unofficially signalling the beginning of the evening, but leave it to Lindsay to leave no red carpet unwalked.
“She decided to come last-minute,” said the source, who adds that inside, “she only had, like, three cigarettes. She was pretty well-behaved.”
After the event, Lohan and Turki headed to SL nightclub, but she was reportedly turned away at the door after she was seen screaming outside, “Where is my fur coat?!” Because, of course.
The night, despite the appearance of LiLo, was still a successful one. Woody Allen, Heidi Klum, Janet Jackson, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Legend and Chloe Sevigny, among many others, attended and helped make it the most successful amfAR gala in history, raising $2.3 million. No thanks to Lindsay.
