Vomit. Max looking like a faux Dave on Friday’s double dose of Happy Endings was gross. Max should never have gone to Dave’s barber. Good thing the Kerkovich sisters jumped in and advised him to go their stylist, KrisJahn, played by the fierce RuPaul Charles.
While giving Max the haircut, Ru — er, KrisJahn — revealed Alex and Jane’s true feelings towards one another. All that bitch-hissing made Max want to find out what “The Incident” that happened 20 years ago (and caused Alex and Jane to stop speaking to each other) was. All tea all shade, Max, but ya best listen to Brad and not stir the pot with Alex and Jane. ‘Cause those Kerkovich sisters are the deadliest snatch and the catch of the day was snapper!
After Max confessed to Brad what he did, Brad proclaimed that “winter [was] coming.” But how Game of Thrones would the Kerkovich sisters get? I was thinking beheading and placing a head on a pike Game of Thrones-y. But who was the Ned Stark of the situation? My money’s was on Alex.
Elsewhere, Dave’s food truck got stolen. Honestly, who cares? The Kerkovich sisters were about to throw down in the bar! And can I just say that this show needs to be saved so we can have more episodes of Alex whipping out Vaseline and wiping it on her face in preparation to throw down like a gangsta boo getting ready to fight for her man?
But how does one get the Kerkovich sisters to stop fighting? The time came to dance sync for … your … life! Donned in traditional Serbian garb, the two girls left it all on the dance floor like Roxxxy Andrews and Alyssa Edwards and both earned the right to chante and stay. I mean, their sisterly bond was reformed and stronger.
Now, on to the second episode. Penny was in the “red zone” for her wedding and after all the planning, which involved large Hawaiians playing small instruments and a backup wedding in a bunker (just in case, you know, North Korea), decided to grow a pair (according to Jane). But she never thought who would walk her down the aisle.
We’ve met Penny’s amazing crazypants mother and Friday night we met her “deadbeat” dad, Roy (played by Andy Richter). While Jane was hellbent on proving that Roy had an agenda, he went ahead and bought Penny her dream dress.
(Side note: Megan Mullally better be at Penny’s wedding with her new boyfriend, Nick Offerman. If she can play Tammy II on Parks and Recreation, he can play her new boy toy/agent.)
Meanwhile, Dave enlisted the help of the guys to take down his arch nemesis, the Brazilian. Max was gung-ho about the plan until he met a cute guy, Wilson, and went back to his place for some sexy time. Too bad Wilson was the son of the Brazilian (C’mon, Max! Bro before bros!) Trapped in the classic Bromeo and Dudeliet scenario, what was Max going to choose? Friendship or romance?
Well, I know what the rest of the gang chose. FOOD FIGHT!!! Seeing Alex take down a shirtless Capoeira guy with ketchup and mustard was ah-maH-zing! When the food fight was looking really bleak, it came to a screeching help with the power of like, as Max and Wilson revealed their true feelings for another. It wasn’t just sabotage for the two either, and they sealed a truce with their lips. The Brazilian and Dave put their beef aside because their sons were in love.
Bromeo and Dudeliet FTW!
We’ve got two more weeks until the season finale of Happy Endings. Will Pete pull and Alex on Penny and leave her at the alter for a woman on rollerblades with vacation braids? Will Penny’s wedding get hijacked by Alex and Dave? Will Brad twirl at the wedding?.
Happy Endings airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on Citytv/ABC.
