Yesterday we got official word that Jennifer Aniston will be presenting at this year’s Oscar broadcast, so obviously today the gossip world is a buzz about whether or not she will reveal her baby bump on the biggest red carpet of the year.
There is no one source for this story. As always, there are numerous Jen pregnancy rumours swirling, so it only makes sense that bump watch will be on high alert come Sunday. And God help her if she decides to wear a loose-fitting dress because that is obviously a 100 percent indication of a bun in the over, right???
Seriously though, there is a significant amount of A-list precedent in terms of going public with a pregnancy on the red carpet. Two years ago, Beyoncé arrived at the AMAs all “I am mama, hear me roar,” and then of course there was the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards when Brangelina showed up with two unexpected (and in utero) guests.
Since anything-Ange-can-do-Jen-can-do-better, I suppose an Oscar unveiling does making a certain amount of sense. Who knows—maybe it’ll be triplets.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Baby or no baby I’m just hoping that Jen avoids basic black. Unless we’re talking black complete with massive slit and bizarre leg posturing. Now that would be an Oscar night surprise for the ages.
