I might love Emma Stone, but I don’t follow her on Twitter because she has never tweeted anything. Ever. She has over a million followers, so that’s pretty impressive.

Anyways, for the first time, Stone did post a cryptic message on Twitter on Sunday. Some would chalk it up to a wacky thing Emma would do, but new daddy Perez Hilton figured out that the tweet — which has since been deleted — was an anagram for something much more troubling. As in, trouble in paradise for Emma and her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield.

Here’s the tweet:

Here’s what Perez Hilton, or anyone who enjoys a good game of Conundra, deciphered:

“Andrew and Shailene sitting in a tree!”

Um, WHAT? Emma is referring to Shailene Woodley, who plays Andrew’s new love interest, Mary Jane Watson, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Everything is probably OK since Stone and Garfield have been spotted all couple-y in NYC after she deleted the tweet on the weekend, and she is on the set as well so it would be a tad difficult for anything fishy to be going on. But the tweet is still a bizarre one. If it was just about a love scene in the upcoming movie, OK, but why delete it? Are cryptic tweets a new form of advertising? Because, damn, it’s working. My thoughts? I think they’re fine, and Emma just wanted her first official tweet to be more personal. And while this was certainly interesting, she may have realized it isn’t what her followers would want to remember.
