Most actors with an iconic movie performance under their belt go on to diverse movie careers, comprised of other worthwhile performances. Tom Wilson is an exception to the rule. His performance as Biff in Back to the Future was so indelible that he spent decades struggling to convince the industry that he could play other roles. Oddly enough, Back to the Future creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis have always made the point that Wilson is wildly different from his most famous character, but his rep as an incredibly nice guy behind the scenes hasn’t translated to many roles as nice guys—or anyone else—in movies.

While Wilson has had an impressive and diverse career in television—Freaks and Geeks fans remember him as Coach Ben Fredericks in several episodes of that short-lived classic—he’s had to settle for movie roles in duds like Action Jackson, That Darn Cat, and last year’s Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike. Still, Wilson has remained active in several areas of show business, including music and stand-up comedy. These two talents converged recently in a performance that addressed all the annoying questions he’s been answering for the last 28 years. If you ever run into Wilson on the street, be sure to consult this handy video FAQ before infuriating Wilson with the same old butthead questions.
