Jack White was officially bigger than the Beatles in 2012 — at least in terms of his vinyl sales. White knocked the Fab Four clean out of their #1 vinyl sales streak.

It was just announced that the rocker’s Grammy-nominated debut solo album Blunderbuss was the biggest selling vinyl release of 2012. It stole the #1 spot from the Beatles Abbey Road record which has held the #1 spot for vinyl sales over for three consecutive years.

According to SoundScan, White managed to sell over 33,000 copies of Blunderbuss on vinyl last year, which also made it the highest selling new album on vinyl since 2008. Pretty cool feat Mr. White.

Blunderbuss is up for album of the year at the Grammy Awards on February 10.
