Huffington Post UK is reporting that 18 year old Justin Bieber doesn’t have access to his fortune. As in he doesn’t have his reported $110 million-plus handy in case he needs to buy an island or space station. Like every other person with $110 million.
“I don’t have an allowance any more, which is good. I don’t have access to all my money, but I have a bank account so I can get money out.” The “Beauty and a Beat” singer said. ”Normally I make good, sound decisions. You don’t have to worry about me. My parents trust me.”
His parents may trust him, but his label are apparently becoming more and more concerned with his spoiled behaviour. Which is weird since he is a teenager, and rich, and a mega star. Oh wait…it’s totally normal.
“He orders everybody around. He’s surrounded by hangers-on who say ‘yes’ to anything he wants. There’s no supervision,” a source said. “Justin doesn’t seem to care and does whatever he wants.”
…because he’s a star? Or because he’s a teenager who also happens to be a star?
Of course the label aren’t worried about Justin’s future as a well adjusted human being, they’re worried that he may stop making them the money they so desperately need for their own ability to order everybody around.
“This could really damage his reputation if they don’t get it under control. Justin is someone young teens look up to and this kind of behaviour can really hurt his career. Just look at what happened with Britney Spears.” Meaning she stopped making people as much money as they wanted her to, because she is a human being and not an ATM.
Here’s the thing: Justin Bieber is a teenager who has been in the spotlight for the last four years, selling out arenas and earning platinum albums. He is in a certain position where, if he wants a cheeseburger, he’s probably going to get a cheeseburger. And all the “yes” people around him, he’s paying them to get him the cheeseburger, or Ferrari, or whatever else he wants. I’m not saying it’s right, but I’m not an 18 year old multi-millionaire.
