Who’s going to inspire you to freshen your junk before an intimate encounter? Why none other than rocker Andrew WK. If “whaaaa?” was your response, you’re not alone. There seems to be a lot of confusion over the folks at Playtex making the overly-caffeinated rocker the face of their new Fresh + Sexy genital wipes product. For real.
WK is the official spokesperson for the Fresh + Sexy Wipes and is heading up the campaign. The product is meant to let guys and girls get extra fresh before getting down.
WK released a statement regarding his new role:
“Whether you just finished rocking a packed club or have an intimate encounter after a busy day, this product will make couples feel brand new. Fresh + Sexy Wipes were specially designed to help couples feel confidently clean, before and after they engage in sexual activity!”
Playtex also released a statement on their choice of the rocker to head up their new campaign.
“This exciting new product required the help of someone who could embody the brand’s playful yet bold campaign; someone who could party hard, but still be clean when it counted. Andrew WK is that someone and we are thrilled to have him on board with us for Fresh + Sexy Wipes.”
In honour of the new product, Andrew WK will be performing a show at the interactive portion of SXSW this weekend in Austin, Texas.
