Shock rocker Marilyn Manson collapsed on stage last night during a concert in Saskatoon. Fan video footage shows the 44-year-old performing his hit “The Beautiful People” while kneeling, only to fall over, with his band continuing to play.

Fans were confused, as there was no announcement as to the health of the singer. The show, already in encore, was halted. Manson had reportedly vomited prior to his collapse.

No stranger to danger, Manson received 24 stitches to re-attach his ear last December after an altercation in a bar in Switzerland. His current Hey Cruel World…Tour, in support of a reported comeback record Born Villain, has seen Manson and his band travel around the world over the last 12 months. It is winding down and exhaustion might be why Manson collapsed.

When initially promoting the tour, Manson promised big things: “I guarantee what’s coming your way is going to be enjoyable. If someone was to see it for the first time, they should know I’m enjoying it to the point where I can say it won’t be anything less, at the very worst, than the best thing happening today in rock ‘n’ roll. That might not be saying much today.”

No word as to what afflicted Manson, or whether he will be performing his scheduled concert in Calgary tomorrow night.
