Things got a little bloodier than usual on the set of Castle last week. An actress and a stuntman ended up in the ER after getting hurt while attempting to perform a driving stunt.

Deadline reports that upcoming Castle guest star Karen David is in a neck brace after falling out of “a moving van.” The stuntman working with her is doing even worse, sustaining injuries serious enough to warrant an extended hospital stay.

The context of the scene is unclear, but David’s manager, William Blaylock, says that the car they were supposed to be using had a faulty door. When it wouldn’t close, David and the stuntman came tumbling out.

TVLine says ABC is looking into the specifics of the accident and “monitoring the injured parties’ recovery.” There is no official word on whether this could delay filming or affect the size of David’s cameo, but David did post a promising message on her Facebook page on Saturday.

“A heartfelt thank you for all the messages that have been pouring in,” David wrote to fans.
“It was an unfortunate accident. I am thankful that I am going to be OK, and I’m looking forward to being back at work soon.”
She continued,” It’s been fun working on Castle.”

According to David’s management, she will be “resting and recovering” until further notice.

Aside from appearing on Castle, David has been seen on the shows Pixelface, Strike Back and Waterloo Road.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CTV/ABC.
