Looks like Office fans won’t be completely without their Greg Daniels-stamped brand of comedy next fall after the long-running series ends. NBC has ordered a new project from the executive producer, starring Dunder Mifflin graduate Craig Robinson.

The untitled single-camera comedy features Robinson as a musician who has to navigate life as a middle school teacher dealing with rough kids, office politics and single moms, according to our U.S. counterpart, TV Guide.

Sounds like a mix of School of Rock and Mr. D to us.

Joining Daniels behind-the-scenes are Owen Ellickson, Tracy Katsky, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman. Robinson also gets a credit as a producer.

If the project is picked up to series, it could air as early as next fall as part of NBC’s new schedule.
