Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Corin Nemec, who is recuperating following a horrific boating accident.

Best-known for his lead role on the 1990s CBS sitcom Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Nemec shattered his leg and lost a large amount of blood when he was thrown during a film shoot in Belize on Saturday. The actor had emergency surgery over the weekend to repair the damage.

News outlets report Nemec was one of roughly 21 passengers on board a Coast Guard vessel being transported to the set of the upcoming SyFy project Jurassic Attack when the boat collided with a partially-submerged barge.

“We hit the sinking barge, and that is what filled the boat to one side immediately with an enormous amount of force, and that threw me into the side of the boat where I shattered my femur in three places,” the Little Rock, Ark., actor told 7 News Belize. “The whole event was very scary. It was one of the first times in my life where I didn’t actually didn’t think I was going to survive something.”

Nemec revealed no one on board had access to a life jacket.

Jurassic Attack stars Nemec, Vernon Wells (Commando), Gary Stretch (Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus) and Alicia Ziegler (Wolf Town) in a tale of soldiers who wage war with dinosaurs after their helicopter crashes in remote tropical jungle.

Nemec was the lead in Parker Lewis, which was a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off-esque project about a cool high school kid who could talk his way out of anything. It ran for three seasons on CBS. He has appeared in guest gigs on Supernatural, NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Miami and Ghost Whisperer.
