She stole Jason Bateman’s identity and now she’s going to steal late-night show Saturday Night Live. Again!
Us Weekly reports that Identity Thief actress and Mike & Molly star Melissa McCarthy has booked her second SNL hosting gig. Her episode, which does not appear to have an attached musical guest yet, airs Saturday, April 6.
SNL is scooping McCarthy up for her second time in the last two years for two reasons. First off, she’s on a new high, having dominated the box office for multiple weekends with Identity Thief. And secondly, she did a stellar job the last time she was on, garnering some of the biggest laughs in the show’s recent history in skits like “The Lawrence Welk Show,” which saw her and pal Kristen Wiig singing whilst donning hysterically over- and undersized prosthetic body parts.
Unfortunately, McCarthy won’t have Bridemaids co-star Wiig around to play off of this time. Wiig left SNL at the end of last season and has yet to return, save for a small cameo during Martin Short’s December episode. Jason Sudeikis is still on the show though, meaning there’s a possibility she could reprise the skit seen in the photo above, during which McCarthy played Sudeikis’ extremely inappropriate co-worker.
Although McCarthy’s episode doesn’t air for a month, you can catch fellow SNL super guest Justin Timberlake this Saturday. He is doing double duty as both the host and musical guest, as he has done twice before.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on Global/NBC.
