Chinese buffet restaurant chain Mandarin, Food Banks Canada, the YMCA and clothing retailer Mexx are among the home-grown companies featured in new episodes of Undercover Boss Canada.

Returning Thursday on W Network, the 10 new instalments feature company CEOs who go undercover within their own companies to interact with staff, who often offer insight into solutions to issues within the company, ideas for making things work more smoothly, or go above and beyond their day-to-day responsibilities.

Thursday’s return spotlights Food Banks Canada executive director Katharine Schmidt (picture above) as she dons a disguise — and hairnet — and travels across the country to work with employees and volunteers at four food banks.

Other institutions participating include Edmonton events landmark Northlands, special events organizers Liberty Entertainment Group, health care experts Sodexo, Calgary Transit and Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital.

The final company participating — and its air date — has yet to be announced.

Here are the the dates each new episode airs:

• Sept. 19: Food Banks Canada
• Sept. 26: Northlands
• Oct. 3: Liberty Entertainment Group
• Oct. 10: Sodexo
• Oct. 17: YMCA
• Oct. 24: Mandarin
• Oct. 31: Calgary Transit
• Nov. 7: Mexx
• Nov. 14: Sunnybrook Hospital

Undercover Boss Canada returns Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on W Network.
