As predicted, Sean Lowe was voted off Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night. He and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd had scored a mere 42 points out of a possible 60 on Monday’s performance show.

The Bachelor stud said that he knew when General Hospital hunk Ingo Rademacher, who had 48 points, was called safe that it was pretty much over for him. Lowe was in faux-denial and began chatting as if he hadn’t been let go when approached by reporters on the post-show press line.

“I’m just happy that we get to prepare for two more dances,” Lowe deadpanned. “Oh. Bad joke?”

On a more serious note, he said, “I feel fine. Peta and I had such a good time. We spent so many great hours together. I accomplished pretty much everything I wanted to. I’m OK going home.”

The remaining contenders are going to miss the blonde duo.

“I love Sean,” Aly Raisman said. “He and Peta are so awesome. They make me laugh. Sean’s kind of like an older brother to me. I’ve really, really enjoyed getting to know him.”

Lowe plans on spending some more time in Hollywood, noting that summers in Dallas, where he lives, can be especially hot.

“I still have my [insurance] business back in Dallas,” he stated. “At some point, that’s going to take me back there.”

Of course, he won’t be going to the Lone Star state alone: Lowe is set to marry fiancée Catherine Giudici, perhaps as early as this year.

“We’ll get to that,” he explained. “Now that I’ve got more time we’ll definitely start to map that stuff out.”

Where can fans of the couple go if they’re interested in sending a gift?

“We’re not registered yet,” Lowe admitted.

He says he’ll be checking out the next season of The Bachelorette, featuring Desiree Hartsock.

“I’ll be watching,” Lowe said. “I hope Des’ story works out as well as mine did.”

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CTV Two/ABC.
