Emerald isn’t the only trend in 2013’s fashion forecast. Fur has made it onto the list of style-musts as well.

Fur scarves, vests, coats and bags are all going to be very trendy next year.

We caught up with stylist Tony Jordan at Naffem, the only luxury outerwear show in North America. He shares his tips on how to incorporate the trend into your 2013 wardrobe.

Now, not everyone wants to wear real fur, or pay for it.

I don’t own any fur, and I am not sure how I feel about it. While I don’t support killing animals for fur, I have thought about buying vintage fur before.

Because I am undecided I stick with faux fur. I get the look, without the guilt. Double win!

So if you want to embrace this newest trend, here are some blood-free suggestions.

Topshop’s faux goat fur vest is a shaggy delight. I love the neutral colour and I think it would look super cute with a thin belt like the vests in the video.

If shaggy isn’t your thing, try Neiman Marcus and Target’s faux fur vest. This piece will glam up any outfit – casual or dressy.

If you aren’t ready for a full vest, try a collar. You can pair it with a sweater or coat and turn any plain piece into striking number. I like Topshop’s brown collar.

For the more daring, there is Rachel Zoe’s black vintage faux fur Brooklyn jacket. It makes a dramatic statement, especially when paired with an all-black outfit.
