For the second year in a row, Kate Upton graces the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition. This time the curvy model posed in Antarctica in just her bikini.
This issue of the magazine is different from past ones. This year the models travelled to all seven continents and posed in exotic locations including African dunes, Asian cliffs and of course, Antarctica.
On the cover, Upton is wearing a fur-lined coat and bikini bottoms which she says “is the most clothes I’m wearing in the whole issue.”
“It was a sort of I-love-you from the editor: `I’ll let you wear a coat for this one.’”
I don’t know how Upton managed to look so calm and collected when she was freezing cold. But apparently when she returned home to Florida she got very sick.
“I don’t think you can go to Antarctica and stand in a bikini without that happening. But I didn’t die, and I’m OK now.”
That sounds terrible. She’s definitely a tough girl.
Beauty in burgundy
The 20-year-old model attended the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition kickoff event in New York City. She wore a strapless, burgundy cocktail dress and off-white pumps. Her hair was in a simple updo and she kept accessories to a minimum.
