“If you’ve got it, flaunt it” is a great motto, but it should be taken with a grain of salt. Your coworkers don’t need to see the scars from your latest breast augmentation, and your child’s piano instructor isn’t interested in your new double push up bra.
Sofia Vergara is one of the few celebrities who knows less is more. In order to avoid looking like the overflowing celebs in this video, I have put together some tips on how to show off your cleavage like a lady.
Good support
No matter what you plan on wearing, you need to start with a good foundation, in this case a supportive bra. It can be hard to find one that fits properly and doesn’t give you that dreadful bra fat on your back. Try shopping at a store that offers free bra sizing and get a consultant to help you find the perfect size. Avoid anything that pushes your breasts up so much that they pop out. Jennifer Hudson went through a brief stage after her big weight loss when she wore a lot of low cut tops and bad push up bras. Her weird cleavage was hard not to look at because it was so bizarre. Luckily Hudson got herself a proper bra and has since only been seen with lovely cleavage.
Such a tease
Now that you have the right bra, keep it to yourself. Always leave a little to the imagination and never let your bra show. And no Courtney Stodden, wearing a nude coloured bra isn’t good enough. Look to Claire Danes for some strapless inspiration.
Squeeze in
Instead of showing a lot of cleavage, show a little and wear a tight top to show off the rest of your figure. Showcasing the full shape of your chest, but keeping it covered, is a cheeky way to show off what your mama gave you. Playmate Shauna Sand tried to keep it demure but failed when she forgot her bra altogether, but Beyonce got it just right. Her skin tight dress has a high neckline, but would have looked good if it was lower cut too.
Dress for your size
If you have large breasts, don’t try and wear something where you have to go braless. No matter how much double sided tape you use, it won’t look right. Embrace your body and wear things that support your chest. Kate Hudson always dresses in a way that shows off her smaller chest and it looks great. While Hudson can get away with deeper cuts, Kim Kardashian has to refrain from anything too low. Instead she opts for cuts that show off her chest but still have enough fabric to support her ample assets.
