Athletic-inspired clothing and accessories are often showcased on spring/summer runways but of course, it’s usually not as simple as throwing on your oh-so-comfy joggers and sneakers and heading out the door — and this season is no different. While baseball caps and jackets have become major trend items, neither are logo-emblazoned. And athletic-inspired striped pants get a formal makeover with tuxedo styling. Here are three sporty spring trends that you can wear now.
Many runways showed plain-coloured, solid caps but if you’re going to wear something as simple as a ball cap, why not choose one that makes a statement? Python, jacquard and polka-dot are all eye-catching options.

Baseball (or bomber) jackets
Call them what you will, with silky fabrics, striped details and elasticized waist bands, these jackets are definitely sport-inspired. Keep the look feminine with a floral print and wear it instead of a blazer.

Tone-on-tone black and leather pants have been around for a while but they’re much easier to wear and more classic than the brightly or pastel-coloured pants seen on runways this season. The best part is these pants can easily be worn during the daytime with an embellished sweatshirt and at night with heels and a blazer — or baseball jacket!
