It’s like Who Wore It Best: Birthday Suit Edition on the cover of March’s V. The frequently naked Rihanna and Kate Moss are together on double covers: Rihanna naked on one and Kate Moss naked on the other. Mario Testino photographed the bondage-y photos.
In what will surely put parents’ minds at ease, Moss originally approached Rihanna at an event because her daughter Lila, then seven-years-old, was a fan. “What really started it was my daughter and her friends running round the house singing all the words to her songs,” Moss tells V.
Instead of asking herself if Rihanna’s an age-appropriate artist, Moss instead asked Rihanna if she could have a picture with her at the Met Gala in 2009. When they reconnected last February at a Stella McCartney presentation, Moss again asked for a photo—but this one would be shot by Testino.
The Peruvian photographer was asking Rihanna when they could work together. “Kate overheard us talking and she said, ‘I want to do it with you!’,” Rihanna says. “I was dying on the inside. All my fantasies were coming true all at once: Mario, V, Kate Moss. I was like, This is an amazing threesome!”
A year later, here it is. Of course Testino, Rihanna and Moss have delivered instantly legendary shots, like when Tom Ford posed with Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley for the cover of Vanity Fair. It’s easily the best naked Rihanna we’ve seen in days. Weeks even!
