Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr counts squats as a go-to workout secret. Not so crazy, right? Not the way she does it. Kerr incorporates her two-year-old son as a resistance weight.

“I like to do my workouts at home so that I can be with my son,” the 29-year-old lingerie model told U.K. paper the Evening Standard when discussing her four-times-a-week routine. “Sometimes I will do squats while holding him as a weight. He likes that; he thinks it’s funny.”

At the age of two, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom (his dad, of course, is Kerr’s husband Orlando Bloom) is still the right weight to be used as a, well, weight. But for the moms with kids who aren’t so portable, fear not: she’s got a routine for you too.

“Something that I think is good for everyone, but particularly young mothers, is to put the music on that your child enjoys and dance around the house,” she says. “You can really have a great workout.” For the record, Flynn’s play list includes Elvis Presley, Justin Bieber and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.

As for that supermodel diet, Kerr practices something she calls “80 per cent healthy, 20 per cent indulgence.” On her healthy menu: green juices, protein shakes, and alkaline-rich foods such as broccoli, red pepper and cucumber.

Even her Christmas dinner doesn’t sound so decadent. “I love to get in that kitchen,” she tells the Evening Standard. “I’ll be roasting vegetables, stir-frying spinach and garlic and doing a slow-roast chicken with coconut oil, turmeric, garlic and onion.” Who knew Kerr had so many different ways of making men drool?
