Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be two of the most famous names in the world, but they’re doing everything they can to keep their upcoming divorce private.

The Hollywood A-listers have released their first joint statement since Jolie shocked the world on September 19, 2016. Following an incident on a private plane carrying the couple and their children, Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting full custody.

Pitt filed for shared custody in November following an investigation by Child Protective Services, and was granted supervised visitation. Now the former couple have come together and agreed on using a private judge, an option only available for the wealthy, which will allow the actors to select their own court dates, hold meetings outside the public court system, speed the proceedings along, and likely most importantly for the two public figures, keep all personal information sealed.

Pitt and Jolie’s representatives released their first joint statement since the separation today, saying “The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”

This agreement between the couple can be broken at any time if one of them decides to make court documents public. According to court documents obtained by ET, Pitt insisted that the filings be sealed, with Jolie eventually agreeing in an effort to continue protecting her children.

The divorce comes after two years of marriage and more than a decade together for the couple who met on the set of their film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Following the news of the divorce, Pitt has made a handful of public appearances, including the premiere of his film Allied. Pitt surprised the crowd as a presenter during Sunday’s Golden Globes and received a warm welcome during an appearance that came one week after the couple signed their agreement to keep court documents sealed.

As for Jolie, the actor and humanitarian hasn’t been spotted in months, reportedly keeping a low profile at the couple’s home in Malibu while caring for their six children.
