Unbelievably, it’s been 24 years since the world was first blessed with the cultural phenomenon that is Clueless—you know, the iconic ’90s teen movie where Paul Rudd stopped aging and Alicia Silverstone spends 97 minutes serving us perfect quotable moments? Well, if you’re as obsessed with Clueless as we are (along with the rest of the internet), the news that Cher, Josh, Murray and Travis all reunited this weekend will have you totally buggin’.
Silverstone, Rudd, Donald Faison and Breckin Meyer took part in a panel at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) where they revealed juicy BTS details about the movie, their predictions about where Cher and the gang would be now and the seemingly ageless Rudd’s beauty secret.

In the hour-long appearance, the cast covered pretty much everything we could have wanted, starting with the first table read (which only Rudd remembers , apparently) right through to present day. Here are the best tidbits from the panel.
1. Cher and Josh would totally still be together
Is it impractical to assume that two students who only ended up spending time together because of familial circumstances and started dating when one of them was still in high school would really stay together forever? Maybe, but that kind of realism isn’t welcome here. Faison answered the question that’s been on everyone’s mind since 1995: would Cher and Josh have stayed together after the movie ended? Obviously the answer was YES!
“I like to believe that this is how it would be nowadays,” he said. “I think you guys would still be together if we were to ever do a sequel.”
That’s what we like to hear.
2. The cast were BFFs from the beginning
While no one remembered the table read, it apparently led to a cute bonding experience that only Paul Rudd can recall. He told the story while Silverstone made faces of disbelief at the audience.
“Afterwards —we didn’t really know each other at all—there was a bar… around the corner that I used to go to and I was like, ‘You guys, let’s all go get something to eat and get a drink,'” Rudd said. “And we all went together… and I remember because I had been there and they just let us all in and I was like ‘Oh, I don’t think half the people here can actually be in a bar.'”
3. Rudd and Faison met Johnny from Karate Kid on Faison’s 21st birthday
Faison was one of those cast members who wouldn’t have been old enough to drink on the night they allegedly went out but he does recall that Rudd, Silverstone and some other cast members took him out for his 21st birthday. He told the story and inadvertently helped Paul remember where he met William Zabka (from Karate Kid).
“You guys might not remember this, but three of you took me out for my 21st birthday,” Faison recalled. “We ran into Johnny from the Karate Kid that night… you don’t remember this? I tell this story everywhere I go.”
Silverstone still had no recollection, but Rudd caught on.
“We ran into Billy Zabka that night, Karate Kid,” Paul remembered. “He was here [at C2E2]. I saw him yesterday and I said, ‘Years ago I met you, I talked to you for a while, it was at a bar,’ … neither of us could remember the circumstances — It was your birthday!”
Whoa, small world.

4. Don, Breckin and Paul lived together
Apparently sometime after filming, Paul and Don “crashed” at Breckin’s apartment “for a while” in New York City.
“We just crashed at your place for a while,” Paul said. “Like, longer than you probably wanted us to.”
“It was pre-reality show because that would have been a reality show,” Breckin added.
Later, a fan asked who was the best roommate out of the three and Donald graciously said that it was Breckin, “since he let us stay at his house for free.”
5. Breckin actually skateboarded to his audition
If you’ve seen the movie once, you’ll recall that Breckin Meyer’s character Travis is a the definition of ’90s skater boy. He revealed that the persona extended off-screen, too. He even pulled up to his audition for the roll on a skateboard—method acting at its best.
6. Cher has 64 costume changes
Alicia shared that while she was strictly a t-shirt-and-jeans kind of girl, Cher’s closet was as extensive as her electronic organization system would suggest.
“There were 64 costume changes for me so my pre-movie was costume fittings,” she said. “And I had a green t-shirt and jeans, that’s it, so I had no idea why we were doing this. But when I saw the movie I was like, ‘[costume designer] Mona May is a genius, and I understand now.'”
7. Alicia loves Iggy Azalea
Speaking of Cher’s iconic wardrobe, Silverstone donned that yellow plaid skirt suit again recently when she appeared on Lip Sync Battle and performed Iggy Azalea‘s “Fancy” (the video for which Iggy recasts herself in the role of Cher). Alicia shared what it was like to wear the costume again and her love for “bad ass” Iggy.
“[It was] super fun, but I loved that I didn’t have to be Cher, I could be Iggy being Cher,” she said. “Cause she’s such a bad ass… It was really fun.”
8. We nearly had this reunion a year ago on LSB
After praising Azalea, Silverstone called out her on-stage co-stars for not coming to her Lip Sync Battle performance. The actress claimed Donald and Breckin were supposed to be there but refused.
“I wasn’t told about this,” Faison answered. “I wasn’t told about said performance.”
“I didn’t go,” Meyer said. “My skateboard broke.”
9. We got details on that weird/wonderful “Celery Man” video
A brave fan brought up that Rudd’s “crowning achievement” was clearly Celery Man—a surreal 2010 Tim and Eric sketch where Paul explores the virtual reality within his computer—and asked what it was like to work on it.

“It was awesome,” Rudd said. “It was just super weird and really fun and funny and it was kind of made up names and I think it was Tim who just yelled out ‘Celery Man’ and that got me laughing… we were all just saying a bunch of stuff as we were doing it.”

10. Paul Rudd is actually 80 years old
Countless internet articles have been written about Paul Rudd’s seemingly agelessness, which prompted one audience member to question the actor on his anti-aging regimen. His answer was that he’s actually 80 on the inside and his heart and mind are just “darkness.” Hollywood, amirite?

Breckin had a different theory, however.
“On Clueless, they would come and get us 20 minutes before set and then on Paul’s trailer, they would knock an hour beforehand because he has to finish sucking the lifeblood out of babies between takes in order to maintain, and then he’s camera-ready.”
So there you have it, all the internet’s wildest theories are confirmed.
