When it comes to sushi, one of the best parts of any maki roll is always that crispy, salty bed of nori (a.k.a. seaweed) that the rice and fish come wrapped in. And don’t even get us started on our love of seaweed salad, that crunchy, vinegary side dish that’s often served up at the same Japanese restaurants where we usually get our sushi fix.

But there are many other ways to enjoy seaweed that don’t even involve sushi. And considering the stuff has so many health benefits (it has tons of minerals and more vitamin C than oranges), there are plenty of reasons to eat it on the regular.
