Anyone who has been affected by breast cancer knows how difficult the effects of the disease can be. In Canada, 1 in 9 women who reach the age of 90 can expect to develop it. But it isn’t all hopeless. In fact, according to the Canadian Cancer Society‘s 2017 estimates, for every 100,000 females, 23.2 will die from the disease. Advancements in research and treatments have much improved the prognosis of those diagnosed, but there’s still more work to be done. That’s why this October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (and beyond), some of your favourite brands are giving back and helping breast cancer organizations throughout the country.
Here’s where you might want to spend your money, so you can give back too.
