It’s amazing how good some actors are, from completely embracing the role they’ve taken on, to looking and sounding the part. It’s quite impressive when a North American actor plays a Brit (though sometimes that casting can garner some grumbling) but when it’s the other way around, and an actor from the U.K. plays a Yank, most times we don’t even notice. Why? Because we didn’t know they were from across the pond in the first place.

That’s right, chances are one of your favourite shows — from present and past — stars someone who’s playing an American but is actually British (or Scottish, or Irish, or Welsh). And it’s not like they were trying to fool us; they’re just that good at their jobs.
