For some animals, it’s like instinct doesn’t even apply.

We like to assume that all living things are naturally trained to avoid their predators. That is, after all, why they call it survival instinct. But it turns out our hunch was very, very wrong.

You see, we’ve recently come across quite a variety of crazy animals that, when confronted, actually end up besting their predators in unbelievable fashion. So grab a comfy seat, and get ready to unlearn everything you thought you knew about the animal kingdom. Because this is just way too cool to miss.

Take this cold-blooded cat, for example. When a massive-jawed reptile gets up in his business, he doesn’t even hesitate to slap that scaly critter right in the face. See ya later, alligator!

Next up, in the blue corner. Weighing in at 450 grams and armed with talons of steel, a tiny crow! In the red corner? A massive, vicious 600lb polar bear. DING DING!

For our next bout, we’re upping the ante. One rat, four cats. WHO will come out victorious? (Hint: It’s not the cats):

Don’t mess with mother goose. That’s a lesson this gorilla (yes, you read that correctly) is about to learn the hard way. Seriously though, how does a bird trump an ape? See for yourself below:

Now this is just unbelievable. Have you ever seen a fish win a fight against an animal on land? We know we haven’t. This cat never knew what hit him:

“Back up, dawg.” If this rabbit could talk, we’re sure that’s what it would be saying. Just watch how it springs into attack mode when this pooch comes just a little too close:
