We all know America is a little backwards, but we bet you never knew it was this backwards.

In light of the controversy surrounding Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, we thought we’d take a look at other wacky American laws. That’s because, in case you didn’t already know, the new law states that the government can’t intrude on a person’s religious rights unless it has compelling government interest. The problem there is that many people believe the legislation will leave the LGBT community vulnerable, because businesses would be able to deny them services on the grounds of religion and still not face discrimination charges. What many people don’t realize, however, is that the discrimination of the LGBT community is already legal in most states. And you’ll be shocked at what other things people are allowed to do under the law down south:
