At just seven years old, Coco Pink Princess may seem a little young to be setting fashion trends, but scroll through some of the Japanese Instagram sensation’s posts and you’ll be a believer faster than you can say “Awwww, she’s soooo adorable.” The kid has style and definitely knows how to strike a pose. Seriously stylish. Seriously cute.
Most kids her age can hardly put the right shoe on the right foot, let alone choose an outfit their near 430K social media followers will find snazzy enough to double tap. But not Coco–she’s got this business on lock.
Coco was born in Fukishima, but moved to the area of Harajuku in Tokyo when she was just a newborn following the tsunami that displaced thousands. Her mother, Misato, owns a clothing store called Funktique in their new, fashion-forward neighbourhood, where many of the trend-setting employees earn large Instagram followers. Not wanting to miss out on the action, Coco’s account, @coco_pinkprincess, was born, and a year and 169 images later, she’s one of the most influential Instagram stars out there–at least under the age of 10.
Her latest outfit upload is a monochromatic pink look, completed with a fuzzy pink coat and teensy little flared pants.
But she wears more than pink. Check out this creation; rad, right down to the camo fanny pack.
Or this look with a Moschino hat, granny glasses and a floral collared shirt, too cute for words.
Coco even got onboard with the IKEA bag trend, carrying a pint-sized purse with this outfit.
And it’s not just the fashion–which is of course incredibly awesome–that makes Coco so cool, her poses are almost as good as a grown model who’s had years of training.
You certainly can’t take fashion cues from most seven-year-olds, but Coco is not most seven-year-olds. Follow her account to see what the real cool kids are wearing these days.
