Back in 2012, Conservative candidate Jerry Bance, who also owns a home repair business, was caught on a hidden camera urinating in a customer’s mug.

Pretty shocking, right? Like why would you pee in a mug with a perfectly good washroom right there? Anyway, the footage appeared on an episode of CBC’s Marketplace in 2012, after the show rigged a home with cameras as part of an investigation into the quality of home repairmen.

Bance just so happened to be one of their first test cases.

In the footage, we can see Bance look around the kitchen after his customers leave the room, only to grab one of their mugs, lower it to crotch level and begin urinating in it. He then raises the cup, dumps out the liquid, rinses it and places it back on the sink (*cringe*).

While it’s pretty typical for politicians to go out and piss all over everything you care about, most of the people who discovered this about their local Conservative candidate were pretty shocked. Soon, #peegate was trending all over Canada, and bodily fluid-themed puns started puddling in newsfeeds from coast to coast. Needless to say, Canadians were quick to supply a steady stream of good jokes.

Some people even had entire pun-laden conversations:

Others just couldn’t handle the comedy:

Even opposition leader Thomas Mulcair apparently had to jump in on the fun:

Speaking of opposition parties…

Not surprisingly, the CPC announced that Jerry Bance has been given the boot.

We imagine he’s pretty pissed.
