It’s not the first time we’ve seen weird stuff on Ebay. From Rob Ford’s tie to an overpriced grilled cheese sandwich, Ebay’s always been able to surprise us with its strange selection of merchandise.

Now, there’s a new item on Ebay that you couldn’t possibly overlook: an entire jumbo, double-decker passenger jet.

Virgin Atlantic’s Boeing 747 jumbo jet (aka Lady Penelope), the very same jet that was used to take passengers from London to New York, is up on Ebay. Most of the interior of the jet is still intact and well-maintained, ready for a new home.

Although the jet’s engines have all been removed, it holds promise for eager aviation fans or even potential business people. Just imagine all the tourists a jet hotel or restaurant would bring in.

These computer mock ups are only the beginning of what you could do with the jet:

The sky’s the limit!

And all you need is $900,000 USD ($1,176,750 CAD) to buy it right now. Or, if you’re a little short on cash, you could start the bidding off with just under $400,000 CAD.

All we can say is that if we had a million bucks in our pocket, we’d probably buy it too (or at least think about it for a long time).

If you can’t wait to have your very own jumbo jet to lounge in, you better hurry up, the auction ends in 4 days. You can get it here.

We wouldn’t be at all surprised if you wanted to be a bit more familiar with Ebay before making that impulsive, million dollar purchase. So check out this video to learn more:
