We’ve been [somewhat] patiently waiting for April 24 to finally roll around, but now that we finally have some intel as to what to expect when Game of Thrones returns on that magical date, we have to admit that we’re pretty damned nervous.

The Season 6 trailer dropped on Tuesday afternoon, and there were plenty of “hints” as to what to expect when the award-winning show resumes another 10-episode run. The big question, as to whether or not Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is alive, was addressed right away as we flash over his supposedly dead body and hear the words “he’s gone.”

Sure, sure. But we’re still not buying it.

Meanwhile, it seems as though another major character from last season’s finale, Cersei (Lena Headey) has bounced back quite nicely from her walk of shame, and is willing to take on the religious zealots she paired with in the first place.

“I choose violence,” she declares before the trailer — which was slow-moving and sad up until that point — erupts into something of a bloodbath.

Between Dany (Emilia Clarke) being held hostage by the Dothrakis, Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) picking up Jon’s sword, Arya (Maisie Williams) using her new Storm-inspired eyes and Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) coming face-to-face with the Night’s King, well… let’s just say there’s a lot that goes down in the trailer, above.

Okay, we take it back. We’re nervous, but now we really, really can’t wait.

Oh, and long live Jon Snow.
