It’s Halloween on Grey’s Anatomy (Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV), which this year means the dead bodies aren’t just in the morgue but also under the hospital. It’s official—Pac North is definitely haunted.

A NIGHTMARE ON PAC NORTH

Alex (Justin Chambers) and Richard’s (James Pickens Jr.) ongoing battle to turn Pac North into a hospital where people are helped and not hurt continued Thursday, with a group of investors visiting the hospital on Halloween. Alex, you should have known better—what, Friday the 13th wasn’t free on the calendar? Things quickly veered into the land of spooky when a burial ground was found where the new wing of the hospital is being built. Add in a contaminated supply of blood that was making patients sick and Pac North finally lived up to the full potential of its reputation as a terrifying place to work and be a patient.Jo (Camilla Luddington) and her very nice wedding dress stopped by to lurk in the shadows and jump out at sick people—a pretty inappropriate place to wear a bloody costume if you ask us. Providing a second, albeit spooky, set of hands, Jo, Alex, Richard and Owen (Kevin McKidd) were able to contain the contaminated blood situation and still score the funding for the new wing. Alex was so excited about finally having a Pac North win that he and Jo put her scary wedding dress to good use and renewed their vows at city hall. Keeping the spirit of Halloween alive, Jo ‘scared’ Alex during their vows by joking that she was pregnant. It’s difficult to tell whether Alex’s reaction was one of fear about having a baby or sadness that Jo wasn’t pregnant, but now the countdown is on to a discussion between the two about children. Somewhere in the next five episodes feels like a safe bet. Also, could we really have three pregnant doctors at once on Grey’s Anatomy? That may be a new record.

ORANGE IS THE NEW MEREDITH

Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) time behind bars was thankfully much less Oz and much more Madea Goes To Jail. While Dr. Grey didn’t appear to be subjected to any cruel or inhumane treatment, she did receive a much-needed reality check in the form of a cell mate who is single mom that lost custody of her kids while trying to hold down two jobs. Sure, Meredith’s own situation isn’t great, but she still has an education, money and support. Thankfully, her continuing foray into wokeness this week didn’t include a high horse speech to Andrew but instead a kind decision to use her own money to bail out the woman and give her the chance to regain custody of her kids. This is the Meredith Grey we love.

GLOWING MIRANDA

Pregnant Miranda (Chandra Wilson) may be the best Miranda. She’s kinder, she cries a relatable amount, and she’s still an amazing surgeon. Miranda has been the most outspoken member of the staff when it comes to Tom Koracick’s (Greg Germann) promotion to Chief of Chiefs (is that really a title?) and it was only a matter of time before she finally heard the reason behind Tom’s harsh demeanor. In a moment of honesty, Tom told Miranda that he hates Halloween because it reminds him of making a Stormtrooper costume with his son, which he never got to wear because his  son died two weeks before Halloween. Tom, who continued being the *sweetest* to Teddy on Thursday’s episode even though she broke his heart, even consoled Miranda when she collapsed into a ball of tears after learning about his son. All hail the Chief of Chiefs.Watch new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV and catch up online anytime at CTV.ca.[video_embed id='1789900']RELATED: We tested Grey's Anatomy stars to see how well they actually know the show[/video_embed]
